What it’s doing
Start with what the door is actually doing
You do not need to know which part failed. Pick the closest description and we will tell you what is behind it.
- Loud bang, then it stopped working Almost always a torsion spring. The bang is the spring letting go.
- Door will not open at all Spring, cable or opener. Do not force it — a loaded door can drop.
- Opener hums but nothing moves Usually a stripped gear or a disengaged trolley, not a dead motor.
- Door hangs crooked in the track A cable has slipped or snapped on one side. The door is off-track.
- Door will not seal at the bottom Worn bottom seal, bent track, or the door is out of level.
- Grinding or scraping as it moves Seized rollers or dry bearings. Cheap now, expensive if left.
- Remote or keypad stopped working Logic board, receiver or a safety sensor out of alignment.
- A panel is bent or cracked Often repairable section by section rather than a whole new door.

We carry matched spring pairs, cables, rollers, hinges and opener gears, so the common failures are a single visit rather than a diagnosis followed by a second appointment.
